Metallurgical Fire The production on this album is surprisingly awful. Exocrine is an extraordinary band, but I never would have picked this up outside of a label sub. Maelstrom would be another masterpiece if it didn’t have lawn sprinklers going off throughout every track. Thankfully they didn’t make the same mistakes again.

Drachensturm Finally, a 2020 Tech Death album that stands aside the phenomenal quality of 2019. Favorite track: Abyssal Flesh.

An enormous clusterfuck of an album in the best way possible. Tech death pummeling, synths, trumpet sections - all combines for a super fun listen. Also has the Kraken on it so +10 points for that. Favorite track: Abyssal Flesh.

Since Spenser Moore replaced Blackburn I’ve frankly appreciated Inferi far more. I feel that his drumming improves the overall sound of the band a great deal, but it’s probably just a personal style preference. Either way, Of Sunless Realms was a great foreshadowing of the epic Vile Genesis. Metallurgical Fire
