DOOM I picked up this album to round out my collection because it is decent, but, it gets a little too nintendo core. Favorite track: Pulse of the Mountain's Heart.

azmok i like the atmosphere on this one, the riffs, and the melody make it really great Favorite track: Upon Whirling Winds.

fathead dog These guys are true musicians. The album sounds beautiful! Some of the instruments get lost in the cacophony of savageness in this type of music a lot of the time, but Inanimate Existence stays consistent with their craft. The mix of the album is nothing short of spectacular, every instrument can be heard, especially the bass, the notes are clear and distinct. I like the female vocal parts as well, but I don't think it needed to be in every song. Overall a great album. Favorite track: Calling from a Dream.

Spear While I'm not 100% on board with everything on this album, it does have some really cool ideas that were previously unexplored by the band. "Calling from a Dream" represents a completely new direction for Inanimate Existence, and I'm very excited to see where it takes them. Favorite track: Shore of Rising Shadows.

iAsobu Yet another excellent work of art from an excellent group of musicians. An evolution of the band's style, and by no means a reduction of their consistent quality. Calling from a Dream is an immersive journey through an array of emotions across compositions that carry an unwavering beauty. Favorite track: Upon Whirling Winds.

about

Nor Cal technical death metal outfit Inanimate Existence return with their third full length release ‘Calling from a Dream’. The over the top song writing capability is again brought forth with progressive yet powerful and heavy guitar structures and intricate drum work. Inspiration for the composition of this album was drawn from music theorists and composers dating back thousands of years. Within ‘Calling from a Dream’, listeners will encounter a wide array of musical elements blended to form a rich contrast of sonic textures that result in a dynamic aural experience.
