Matt Medeiros Gravitas Maximus is Pyrexia's best work to date. Fully formed, it delivers on a promise of a band who knows exactly who they are and what they do. Catchy riffs to start up the pit. Aggressive performances. Perfect production. No flashy tech wankery, no "prog" parts. You're either "in" or you're "out." And if you're a fan of song-focused slam at it's quintessential, barbaric essence, this record from one of the genre's originators is absolutely perfect. Favorite track: Art of Infamy.
