It can bring life or it can destroy... the power used is the bearers choice. The Scepter of the Ancients (Metal From Van Diemens Land) One of the Classics from Down Under and the last one with Original Singer [Chalky - now singing in Mephistopheles] and still their best Album.
Favorite track: Psycrology.
Tight, technical, complex Australian death metal with a variety of vocal approaches, a vast array of guitar techniques and an ambitious lyrical concept. The album consists of nine hyper-aggressive songs filled with ear-catching riffs and truly astonishing rhythm changes.

Far and away the most fun I've ever had while listening to a tech death album. Which isn't to say that you shouldn't take these guys seriously (because they absolutely shred), but it's impossible not to smile when this thing is on. Every song is almost comically fast, and when you pair it with spider fingered riffs and a vocalist who could probably double as a second drum set, you get one of the most entertaining albums of the past few years. zirtonic

This may just surpass Death’s Leprosy as my overall favorite death metal album. It’s magnificent; originality mixes with the old school so well on this epic.
Update: nothing beats Leprosy, but this is my #2. Brian3737
