Probably my favorite current technical death metal band. Weird as hell. Catchy as fuck. Ripping musicianship without being self-indulgent and wanky. And the vocals are absolutely filthy in the best possible way. I never thought I'd love a band with vox this gross, but they really compliment to music here. Although initially believing the band's sophomore effort, Infrared Horizon, to be the superior LP... now I'm not so sure. Absorbing Black Ignition has gotten a lot of love (rightfully so) but the last three tracks here are absolutely stunning. Cosmic horror and despair of the most visceral kind. N1A9R9S4
