Titled “Eulogy of Ashes,” the new track was written as an ode to honour the legend that is Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder.
“The new single showcases a more melodic death metal direction for the band and pays tribute to a much loved fallen King whilst exploring themes of death, legacy, and the afterlife. The track features melodic guitar lines and soaring choruses, while still retaining the band’s signature intensity and technicality.
The lyrics speak of a dark and apocalyptic world, with references to ravens, blood, and madness. The band’s message is that death is inevitable, but art is immortal, and that one’s legacy can live on through their creations.”
Elaborating on the new release, vocalist, Duncan Bentley shares:
“We wanted to try something different with this song and incorporate more melody while still keeping the aggressive edge that fans expect from us,The lyrics are inspired by the idea that death is not the end, and that even after we’re gone, our art and our legacy can continue to live on and inspire others.”

lyrics
Gods Weep!
The King Of The Nightworld Has Taken His Final Breath
Nocturnal Majesty!
Deathless!
His song has been sung but the melody lingers on!
A raven flies over stirring seas of salted blood.
Carrying news of his death, inked in his blood.
What a horrible night to have a curse.
The father unholy adorns the deathmask divine.
Darkness spawned from his blood shall black out the sun!
Everything went black, the hourglass now empty
Every fallen king has a story of ancient glory,
His legacy unmatched in its prestige.
Miasma!
The King Of The Nightworld Has Taken His Final Breath
Nocturnal Majesty!
Virally Yours!
His song has been sung but the melody lingers on!
Climatic degradation into a breathless oblivion.
The warborn shall learn from his deeds!
Ov god and serpent of spectre and snake!
Fiends united! We mourn in his name!
Construct a shrine of madness in his name!
All Hail The King!
Invoke the moonlight equilibrium for THE FALLEN KING!
Now that the king is dead the burning nullifier meets its end!
Enchantments of the necrosphere! In darkness spawned, in darness we die!!!
[SOLO]
Time must go on!
The vessel has died but the soul still traveses the necroplain!
Nightbringers! Our legion six hundred and sixty six!
Retain his legacy!
Time goes on!
The soul of a king only fades away once he's forgotten!
Nightbringers! Our legion six hundred and sixty six!
Retain his legacy!
Funeral Thirst!
The King Of The Nightworld Has Taken His Final Breath
Nocturnal Majesty!
Unhallowed!
His song has been sung but the melody lingers on!
This vessel but a vehicle to traverse the astral realm!
Long live the King!
The Apex now rules necropolis!
Death is eternal, but art is immortal.
The Universe is nothing but vibrations so scream at the top of your lungs and you won't be forgotten.
Death is eternal, but art is immortal.
The Universe is nothing but vibrations so scream at the top of your lungs and you won't be forgotten.

Before Ashen, I thought they were overrated. Deathcore bands seem to have a capacity to evolve quickly. I’ve seen quite a few bands in this genre grow exponentially from one album to the next, and Ashen is a particularly strong example. Metallurgical Fire

My English is terrible, so I used Google Translate to express what I want to say, if anyone sees my feelings, please forgive me. The reason why I like this album is simple: advanced, thall enough, a good example to learn from acoturnix
